WHAT WE ARE
ALI ZUBAIRU & ASSOCIATES is a niche practice staffed with highly skilled Legal Practitioners with extensive experience in a variety of legal spheres including, but not limited to, Dispute Resolution, Civil & Criminal Litigation, Arbitration, Mediation, Conciliation and Negotiation, Corporate and Commercial Law, Taxation, Asset Tracing. We are primed to provide prompt and efficient legal services on a variety of legal issues, members of our team having provided legal representation to a number of companies, government bodies and individuals.
To this end, we hold retainers with several companies Government Parastatals/ Agencies and individuals. We are equally disposed to handling a reasonable amount of pro bono cases as part of our Corporate social responsibility and our desire to see that the indigent have access to justice.

WHO WE ARE
Mr Ali Dussah Zubairu, MCIArb (UK), ACTI holds an LL.B (Hons) degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State and has been enrolled to practice as a Barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. After the mandatory National Youth Service Corps programme, Mr Zubairu settled for Private legal practice with the reputable Law firm of Messrs Y. C. Maikyau (SAN) & Co where he was exposed to the rudiments of practice in the field of Civil and Criminal litigation. He later graduated to handling of other Commercial Transactions, Arbitration, banking and Insurance matters. He rose through the ranks during his eight (8) years pupillage to be Head of Litigation and subsequently the Head of Chambers.
Mr Zubairu has acted as Counsel in several high profile cases in civil, criminal and election petitions from the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and the Federal/FCT and State High Courts around Nigeria. He has several Judgments and Rulings of the superior courts of record to his credit. Mr. Zubairu took active part in the negotiation, drafting and review of several contractual instruments and has participated in Transaction Advisory Services as the Legal Consultant. With special training and a wide range of contacts, Mr. Zubairu has developed a specialty in Asset Tracing. He has successfully traced assets and funds of obligors nationally and internationally for Government Institutions, Corporate organisations and private individuals.
Mr Zubairu has incorporated several companies and handled several post incorporation issues, obtained expatriate quotas, provided tax consultancy services and investment legal advisory services. Mr. Zubairu has represented several parties in negotiation, mediation and arbitration with good success.
Mr Zubairu is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association, International Bar Association (IBA), Chattered Institute of Arbitrators (UK/Nigeria), Chattered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and has been appointed a Notary Public by the Chief Justice of Nigeria.

As part of our resources for service delivery, we have the privilege of a robust library, fully equipped with up – to – date Nigerian and international practice books, law reports and legislation. A meeting room suitable for ADR sessions, Client interviews and meetings, fully equipped with audio- visual aids for presentations.
We also enjoy the privilege of having eminent jurists- from the bench (retired), silks and linguists as resource persons providing specialist input.
